Description
1864 Large Motto Two Cent, Unblemished PR66 Brown
Beautiful Deep Blue Patina
1864 2C Large Motto PR66 Brown PCGS. This Premium Gem proof
two cent piece is a happy confluence for color aficionados and
those who collect the so-called "odd denominations" of American
coinage. Beautiful deep blue patina prevails in the obverse fields
of this unblemished coin, while the reverse adds from heather
patina, and the raised devices are truly mostly brown with an
occasional splotch of orange. The strike is quite sharp, especially
on the obverse, and a couple of trivial dark flecks appear only
under magnification. Population: 9 in 66 (2 in 66+) Brown, 1 finer
(12/14).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 274T, PCGS# 3621, GSID# 2707)
