1864 Large Motto Two Cent Piece
Nicely Reflective PR66 Red and Brown
1864 2C Large Motto PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. While the
most common date as a business strike, the Large Motto proofs from
1864 are remarkably scarce. Only 100 or so were struck in proof
format. This piece is called Red and Brown, but there is little
brown evident, mostly it takes the form of multicolored speckles of
color on each side. The surfaces are mostly bright mint red with
strong mirrors in the fields. Population: 13 in 66 Red and Brown, 1
