Description
1864 Large Motto Two Cent, PR67 Brown
Vivid Blue and Violet Color
1864 2C Large Motto PR67 Brown NGC. NGC has certified only
three 1864 Large Motto two cent pieces in the lofty PR67 grade,
including this Brown coin, a Brown Cameo coin, and a Red Ultra
Cameo example. PCGS lists a PR67 Brown coin and two PR67 Reds.
These pieces represent the Condition Census of this elusive
first-year proof. The present coin displays full definition and
exceptional preservation. Vivid electric-blue and violet hues flash
in the fields, and when angled away from a light, the frosty
devices light up blue against burgundy fields. The eye appeal is
spectacular.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 274T, PCGS# 3621, GSID# 2707)
