Description
NGC 1864 PR 65 Red. Only 100 proofs were struck of the Large Motto variety for 1864. While many of the survivors are normally dull, this piece has bright cherry-red color and good depth of reflectivity in the fields. A couple of minor spots of carbon are noted on each side which limit the grade. A very rare opportunity to acquire this elusive and highly desirable two-cent piece in the proof format. Population: 4 in 65, only 1 finer.
