Description

1866 2C PR65 Red PCGS. While not an especially rare proof in terms of total number of coins known, the 1866 is surprisingly elusive with full mint luster. In addition to warm, mostly even, orange tinged color, the present example is sharply impressed with modest, yet attractive brightness in the fields. Some mottling of color is noted on the reverse side.(#3632) (Registry values: N1793)
