Full Red Gem Proof 1867 Two Cent Piece
1867 2C PR65 Red NGC. Bright and deeply mirrored with flashy proof fields, the surfaces are orange-red overall with a speckled overlay of reddish-lilac patina that adds even more visual interest to this scarce two cent proof. Both sides are virtually carbon-free, a characteristic that is especially surprising when one considers the size as well as the age of this copper coin.
