Tied for Finest Known
1868 2C PR67 Red and Brown NGC. CAC. Fire-red coloration and
glassy, deep-mirror fields emphasize the Superb Gem quality of this
glittering two cent proof. Slight olive-brown overtones appear
sparingly over the sharply struck devices, accounting for the Red
and Brown designation. The coin is predominantly Red with blazing
mint bloom. Neither NGC nor PCGS show a finer example, with this
coin tied for finest at NGC. Census: 5 in 67 Red and Brown, 0 finer
