Description
Effulgent 1868 Two Cent Piece, PR 65 Red
1868 2C PR 65 Red NGC. Words can hardly describe the intensity of this piece's orange-red luster. Richly delineated devices float serenely above the deeply reflective fields. An interesting lamination (as produced) is noted on the reverse rim above the F in OF, although we stress that the surfaces are pristine and fully deserving of the gem designation. In sum, it is difficult for us to imagine a nicer coin for Gem quality type purposes.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 274X, PCGS# 3638, GSID# 2734)
