Description

1869 Two Cent, PR63 Brown
Olive-Brown and Steel-Blue Patina

1869 2C PR63 Red and Brown NGC. Minor proof coin mintages went unrecorded by Mint officials prior to 1878, but researchers believe at least 600 two cent proofs were struck in 1869. Mottled olive-brown and steel-blue patina graces surfaces that show additional areas of light tan-gold on the reverse. Contact marks are difficult to discern beneath the toning, and none are singularly distracting.(Registry values: N991)
