1869 2C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. From a proof mintage of just 600 pieces, this beautifully preserved Premium Gem displays a substantially Red overall appearance, with blended bronze and orange-gold hues over each side. Sharply struck design elements accent moderately mirrored fields, giving this CAC-approved example pleasing visual appeal. A single, faint carbon speck is noted near the left edge of the obverse wreath, but it is well-hidden and virtually unnoticeable to the unaided eye. Population: 16 in 66 Red and Brown, 2 finer (4/14).(Registry values: N1793)
