Description

1870 2C PR64 Red NGC. One of the more available proof issues of the series with an estimated 1,000 pieces produced, this Red example has the look of undipped originality with a sprinkling of copper-red tone over vibrant orange surfaces. The fields have medium reflectivity and are free of all but a couple of microscopic contact marks. There are no carbon spots to mention, with only a couple of small gatherings of copper toning freckles on the pleasing surfaces. Census: 24 in 64 Red, 41 finer (1/14).(Registry values: N1793)
