1870 Two Cent, PR66 Red and Brown
Attractive Dappled Color
1870 2C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Blue-green, olive, and
copper-gold elements are most prominent on this Red and Brown
Premium Gem. Sharply struck with quality mirrors, this is a
high-end survivor from an issue of only 1,000 proofs. Both sides
are practically spot-free. No finer Red and Brown proofs are
reported, although PCGS does list a small number of Red and Cameo
examples in this and finer numeric grades. Population: 32 in 66 (2
in 66+) Red and Brown, 17 Red and Cameo coins finer. CAC: 17 in 66,
0 finer (12/17).Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2012), lot 3448.
