1870 Two Cent, PR66 Red
Collectible Proof Issue
1870 2C PR66 Red NGC. The area below WE shows signs of
lapping, as on all 1870 proof two cent pieces. Each side displays
unsurprisingly strong detail, with amber-red and copper-orange
color. A carbon spot occurs within the lower right wreath leaves.
The Guide Book reports a mintage of 1,000+ proofs for the
