Pleasing 1871 Two Cent Piece, PR65 Red
1871 2C PR65 Red NGC. From a proof mintage of 960 pieces. Collectors prize proofs of this date because of the small number of business strikes from this year. The present coin is a beautiful example, with bright red color and reflective, mirrored surfaces. The fields are free of distractions, with only a few carbon spots in the shield.
