1871 2C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Die doubling is strongest on the motto, a characteristic of all proof 1871 two cent pieces and most easily seen on TRUST. Areas of red are prominent on the obverse with blue overtones on the shield and leaves. The reverse is two-toned with red and blue toning in equal measure, the blue strongest at the center, while red rules the margins. A nicely reflective proof, CAC endorsed, tied for finest at PCGS. Population: 19 in 66 Red and Brown, 0 finer (3/16).(Registry values: N1793)
