Description
1872 2C PR64 Red NGC. Glimmering golden-orange luster deepens to coppery-rose in the centers of this Choice Red 1872 proof two cent piece, accentuating the bold definition of the motifs. A peppering of tiny specks on the central reverse is hardly noticed without a loupe. Due to the scarcity of high-end circulation strikes of this year, the proof 1872 is often chosen for date representation. Census: 12 in 64 Red, 27 finer (11/15).From The Kling Family Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
