1872 Two Cent Piece, PR66 Red
Tied for the Finest NGC Certified
1872 2C PR66 Red NGC. Although NGC has certified a small
number of numerically finer PR67 examples, those are all designated
Red and Brown. This piece is tied for the finest Red proofs that
NGC has examined. The surfaces actually exhibit brilliant golden
mint color with fully mirrored fields and delicate blue-green
overtones. A wonderful example. Census: 8 in 66 Red, 0 finer
