1872 Two Cent, PR66 Red
Tied for Third Finest Non-Cameo
1872 2C PR66 Red PCGS. CAC. Mirrored fields are blanketed
with rich coppery-orange color and a bit of rust-orange around the
date, while the reverse contains a tinge of mint. Just three Cameo
examples of this issue have been certified between PCGS and NGC,
making high-end Red non-Cameos the finest available for collectors.
PCGS is the only service that has assigned higher grades to a Red
example, comprising one 66+ and one 67, making this CAC-endorsed
Premium Gem conditionally rare in addition to very eye
