Description
1873 Closed 3 PR 64 Brown NGC. Final year of issue for the short-lived two-cent series. Originals and restrikes are known for this scarce, low mintage year with the originals having a closed 3 in the date. Only 600 pieces are estimated to have been struck, all proofs. This piece has dark reddish-brown color with moderately mirrored fields.
