1873 2C Closed 3 PR35 PCGS. CAC. Two cent coins were only struck in proof format in 1873, with originals featuring a Closed 3 in the date. This proof obviously entered into circulation, where it remained for some time before being withdrawn by an astute collector. Even brown surfaces are lightly worn remain readily appealing.(Registry values: N1)
