1873 2C Closed 3 PR64 Brown PCGS. From a minuscule proof mintage of 600 pieces, the 1873 two cent piece is a scarce coin in all grades. Golden-tan and purple coloration runs over both sides of this near-Gem and an exacting strike emboldens the design motifs. One tiny fleck in the lower middle shield is concealed within the toning. Population: 34 in 64 Brown, 14 finer (12/09).(Registry values: N1793)
