1873 2C Closed 3 PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. The 1873 is a proof-only date but two logotype varieties are known. The Closed 3 is regarded as an original striking, while its Open 3 successor is called a restrike though it may also have been struck in 1873. The present high grade specimen is housed in a first generation holder. It is fully struck and satiny with moderately mellowed pumpkin-gold color.(Registry values: N2998)
