Description
1873 Closed 3 PR 64 Red and Brown. A uniform, deep red-gold color is perhaps a bit too mellow for full red status on this attractive near-gem proof. An estimated 600 originals of this final year two-cent piece were struck, with the present example being a median grade for survivors of this proof-only issue.
