Description
1873 2C Closed 3 PR 65 Red and Brown NGC. Only 600 two cent pieces were produced in this, the final year of this curious denomination. Survivors are scarce in all grades. Partially red in color, the Gem quality surfaces show streaky tan-brown overtones. There are neither contact marks nor areas of striking weakness on either side of this desirable specimen.
