Description

1873 Closed 3 PR 65 Red PCGS. The fields show an extraordinary depth of mirrored reflectivity over both sides, and the surfaces retain the full, fiery-red color it had in 1873. The Closed 3 is the more commonly encountered of the two varieties, but is most uncommon when found in gem condition and with undiminished red color. Population: 16 in PR 65, 8 finer (5/96).
