Description
Attractive PR64 Red and Brown 1873 Open 3 Two Cent
1873 2C Open 3 PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. Both sides offer a blend of deep mahogany and pumpkin-orange. Overall eye appeal is striking, and the impression is bold. Only a few stray hairlines are visible in the fields. The Open 3 restrikes are highly elusive, owing to an estimated production of 500 pieces, and Choice and better survivors are particularly challenging. PCGS has graded 18 finer Red and Brown representatives (11/08).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2754, PCGS# 3655, GSID# 2761)
