Description
1873 Open 3 PR 64 Red and Brown PCGS. Immediately recognizable as an Open 3 by the weak lower horizontal shield lines, a diagnostic of all Open 3s if one is in doubt about the configuration of the 3. Both the obverse and reverse are a mellowed orange-brown color and display no distracting spots. A very rare issue and much scarcer than the Closed 3 strikings.
