Description

1869 PR 65 Red and Brown NGC, two pieces, virtually identical obverses with muted red color a bit too mellow for a better designation, one reverse has a slight purple tinge; and an 1870 PR 64 Red and Brown NGC, glowing, redder and flashier, a single carbon spot in the left wreath evidently accounting for the grade. From an old time family collection originally purchased directly from the mint.
