Description

1936 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, PR66
First Modern Proof Issue

1936 50C PR66 NGC. After a two-decade hiatus, the Philadelphia Mint resumed coinage of proof sets in 1936. A small mintage of 3,901 proof Walking Liberty half dollars resulted, and surviving examples are highly prized by collectors today. The present coin is a spectacular example, with completely brilliant, deeply reflective surfaces, and an exemplary strike. The fantastic eye appeal of this coin complements the high technical grade to produce a rare prize for the knowledgeable collector.(Registry values: N2998)
