First-Year Proof Issue
1936 50C PR66 PCGS. CAC. A scarce, high-grade example of
this elusive first year of issue for modern proofs. When found,
most 1936 proof halves show signs of cleaning, therefore relatively
few exist today in the higher and more sought-after grades. This
piece shows good reflectivity in the fields with a hint of opaque
toning on each side.Ex: Baltimore Signature (Heritage, 7/2003), lot 7892; FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2014), lot 4764.
