Description

1941 50C PR67 NGC. CAC. No AW. According to Breen (1988), proofs minted from January to October 1941 were struck from dies that were excessively polished, which unintentionally removed the designer's monogram. A deeply mirrored and frosted Superb Gem. Traces of russet and hazel toning encircle the perimeter of this nearly perfect example. A lovely and appealing specimen.(Registry values: N991)
