Enticing 1942 Half Dollar, PR68
1942 50C PR68 NGC. One of 21,120 proofs struck. The present piece is entirely white and untoned, with eye-catching satiny luster beneath light mint frost. Both sides appear to be unmarked, even with the aid of a loupe. Only a touch of weakness on Liberty's dress keeps this piece from being absolutely perfect. NGC has certified just four examples finer (8/08).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27V9, PCGS# 6642, GSID# 6783)
