Flawless 1942 Half Dollar, PR68
With Iridescent Accents
1942 50C PR68 NGC. This last-year proof issue among the
Walking Liberty halves is in a near-unimprovable grade, with just
five pieces certified finer at NGC and PCGS combined. The
silver-white surfaces show iridescent accents of deep amber, mint,
and copper near the obverse rim, with similar daubs on the reverse.
Search long and hard, but abrasions are absent and the strike
flawless.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27V9, PCGS# 6642, GSID# 6783)
