1937 Quarter, PR68+
Only One Finer
1937 25C PR68+ NGC. This wholly original proof features
pristine surfaces on boldly struck design elements layered in
smooth, lustrous satin. Bright reflective fields are mostly
brilliant with amber and caramel toning on the edges as well as the
eagle. Small touches of emerald, plum and cobalt-blue sparkle under
a loupe and facilitate the Plus-grade designation from NGC. While
commercial strikes from the series began in 1932, proof production
was suspended until 1936, and this Superb Gem Proof from the
second-year issue has only one finer example at NGC, with PCGS
