1940 25C PR68 NGC. CAC. The obverse alone of this glittering
proof quarter imparts a strong visual illusion that makes the
mirrored fields appear markedly concave. The toning is amazing,
with vibrant colors emerging from every viewing angle. Blazing
fire-orange tones meld into lemon-yellow and other rainbow hues,
while the mirrors are the deepest imaginable and glassy-smooth. The
reverse is less spectacular but technically high quality, with
vivid rainbow colors at the top rim and mirrored perfection
surrounding the subtly toned motifs. Census: 30 in 68, 0 finer
