Impressive 1837 Half, MS64
1837 50C MS64 NGC. A strongly struck, impressively lustrous near-Gem example from the more available of two years which showed the Capped Bust obverse and the reverse with 50 CENTS. The peach and orange shadings that visit the subtly frosted centers give way to violet and blue near the rims. A small spot of deeper toning is noted on the rim at star 1.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24G4, PCGS# 6176, GSID# 6219)
