Description

1838 50C MS62 PCGS. CAC. Deep gray toning covers the obverse, which contrasts sharply against the peppered russet and silver-gray reverse. Although the luster is partly obscured on the obverse, the reverse exhibits scintillating satiny luster. The stars are weakly struck, but the rest of the details are essentially full. A number of horizontal striations are noted at the bottom of the reverse.(Registry values: N1793)
