Beautifully Toned Choice 1838 Half
1838 50C MS64 NGC. Green-gold and ocean-blue bands surround apricot-gray centers. The major devices are well struck, while the left borders exhibit only minor softness. Nicely preserved and attractive. A rare type in Mint State, as it was struck for just two years and few pieces were set aside. Census: 66 in 64, 23 finer (3/10).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2007), lot 4446, which realized $7,187.50.(Registry values: N2998)
