1839 GR-7 Half Dollar, MS64
Capped Bust Design

1839 50C Large Letters, GR-7, R.1, MS64 NGC. Alive with satin luster, this coin is uninhibited by toning or abrasions. Both sides exhibit a sharp strike on every feature. The second subtype of the Reeded Edge half dollars, coined in 1838 and 1839, has the denomination as HALF DOL. An important coin for the advanced type collector, and NGC reports just eight numerically finer pieces (12/25).
