Alexander II silver "Imperial Academy of Arts" Medal 1864-Dated AU58 NGC, Diakov-718.1 (R3), Smirnov-662. 87mm. Dies by I. Reimers and V. Alexeev. A massive Russian Medal, commemorating the Centennial of the Imperial Academy of Arts, very rare in silver. Though not quite Mint State, this beautiful piece has acquired an exquisite patina featuring blood orange and burgundy tones.
