Description

Peter I Rouble 1705 AU50 NGC, Moscow mint, KM122.2, Bit-800 (R), Sev-181. Date in old Cyrillic. This early Peter the Great Rouble type, featuring a youthful portrait of the iconic Russian ruler, is extremely difficult to find in such an advanced circulated assignment. In fact, it's the finest graded 1705 Peter the Great Rouble Heritage has ever handled. The strike is bold, with two minor reverse flan flaws and light contact marks, but the most attractive feature is the patina; ash gray with some peppery speckles and minor cabinet colors in the legends. A noteworthy occasion for classic Russian Empire Rouble collectors.
