Alexander III gold 10 Roubles 1894-AГ MS63 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-YA42, Fr-167, Bit-23. Russian gold coins featuring Alexander III's portrait are predominantly available in the 5 Rouble denomination; the 10 Rouble series is, in general, considerably more scarce. Even though 1894, the final year of Alexander III's rule, is the most "common" date in the series, that is because the preceding dates are rare, not because this issue is widely available on the market at any given time. The last time an MS63 example of this date appeared with Heritage was four years ago. The surfaces of this Choice piece are pale yellow with slight apricot accents, lively and effervescent in nature; very seldom available for procurement in such class condition.
