Mikhail I Feodorovich gold Novodel Ducat ND (1613-1645) MS61 NGC, Fr-30, Kaim-1418. 3.17gm. A splendid gold Novodel selection from the original Romanov emperor, famously pictured with Nicholas II on the obverse of the 1913 Rouble celebrating 300 years of Romanov rule in Russia. Heritage has only handled a few gold Novodel examples, as they are much more commonly found in silver or copper, but have not had the pleasure of offering a single Ducat size until now. The condition of this piece is commendable; bright, flashy, and lustrous, well-deserving of its Mint State assignment. An enticing early piece of Russian gold we anticipate will be very popular with collectors.
