One of the Finest Certified Original Family Roubles
Nicholas I. 1-1/2 Rouble 1836, obverse signed П.У., reverse unsigned, Bust of Nicholas I right/Bust of Empress Alexandra in the center, facing right, surrounded by busts of the Royal children with no circles, Bit-888, Uzd-4207, MS64 NGC. The strike is bold and the toning and attractive blend of gray and gold over prooflike surfaces. There is no sign of the edge flaw, or "cud" on the obverse rim between 4 and 5 o'clock, therefore we feel comfortable calling this piece an original striking. This is the finest piece certified by NGC and undoubtedly one of the nicer examples extant. A rare opportunity for the collector who desires to own one of the finer examples of this prized issue.Metal: Silver
