Description

Attractive MS66 2000-P 'Cheerios' Dollar

2000-P $1 Cheerios MS66 NGC. FS-401. While NGC has labeled this coin as a "Prototype Reverse," which is an accurate descriptor in some respects, the variety is far better known as the "Cheerios" dollar, reflecting a brand of cereal in which examples were placed as part of a Mint promotion. Strongly reflective yellow-gold surfaces are minimally marked, and on the reverse, the eagle's additional tail detail is prominent.
