Description
Lustrous Gem 1907 Arabic Numerals Twenty
1907 $20 Arabic Numerals MS65 PCGS. The lower-relief version of Saint-Gaudens' design as Charles Barber modified it for production coinage: One wonders how the various 1907-1908 double eagle issues will perform in the next few years, after the 2009 Mint issue of the "piedfort" or double-thick, smaller-diameter version of the original Ultra High Relief, in pure 24-karat gold. This Gem example of the 1907 Arabic Numerals offers wonderfully lustrous orange-gold surfaces, with few abrasions appearing, even under a loupe.
