Description

1907 Twenty Dollar, MS65
Arabic Numerals Saint-Gaudens

1907 $20 Arabic Numerals MS65 PCGS. Charles Barber disliked the high-relief format, and he was equally dismayed by the Roman numeral date on the original design. Late in 1907, the Arabic Numerals double eagle was released, and to Barber's credit most of the coins struck were well-produced and attractive. This satiny Gem shows few marks and a strong obverse strike, with only slight weakness on the eagle's underside plumage.(Registry values: N2998)
