1907 $20 MS66 PCGS....
Description
1907 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, MS66
Vivid Orange-Gold Surfaces
1907 $20 MS66 PCGS. Despite many travails preparing the
Saint-Gaudens double eagle for mass production, the new design was
an instant success in both domestic and international commerce.
Charles Barber's modifications reducing the coins relief greatly
improved productivity and ongoing refinements in 1908 were equally
successful. This 1907 Arabic numerals twenty displays Premium Gem
surface quality and spectacular orange-gold color throughout the
finely grained obverse and reverse. Only a few tiny marks exist on
the well-struck surfaces. PCGS reports only 20 numerically finer
examples, plus 44 pieces in 66+ (8/25).(Registry values: N2998)From The VRM Collection.
