Description
Lustrous 1908 Motto Double Eagle, MS64
1908 $20 Motto MS64 PCGS. A well executed strike manifests itself in sharp detail in the panes of the Capitol building and Liberty's branch hand, and pleasing luster exudes from yellow-gold surfaces. A few minuscule marks prevent Gem classification. This issue is distinctive in that the sun's rays were reduced by one to total 33 and a ninth feather was added to the eagle's tail.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26F8, PCGS# 9147, GSID# 10135)
