Description
Wonderful MS65 1908 Motto Twenty
1908 $20 Motto MS65 PCGS. Bold yellow-gold luster with an above-average strike and a wire rim around parts of the reverse. Marks are generally light and unobtrusive, though a few minor abrasions are noted on and near Liberty's gown. Unlike the famously available No Motto 1908 twenties, the With Motto pieces had a mediocre mintage and were little-saved; no major hoard has emerged to give collectors broad access to high-grade pieces. Gems such as the present coin are borderline condition rarities, and anything finer absolutely warrants that status; PCGS has certified only 10 such pieces (2/10).(Registry values: N7079)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26F8, PCGS# 9147, GSID# 10135)
